Two records broke down on the final day of the English Premier League season on Sunday when Manchester City won 1-0 over Southampton to make them the first team to score 100 points, and Mohamed Salah carved out a new English Premier League record as Liverpool secured a top four spot.

Despite the defeat by conceding a goal ahead of the game, Southampton can still celebrate their survival in the Premier League where Swansea City, who lost 2-1 at Stoke City, were relegated, while Tottenham Hotspur won 5-4 over Leicester City.
