Alcaraz’s Scheduled Time for the Miami Masters 1000, on the Same Day as Djokovic-20-03-2025

Carlos Alcaraz is eager to seek revenge after his semifinal defeat at Indian Wells, a tournament he had won in 2023 and 2024. His goal is to follow the same path as in 2022 when he lost at that same stage in the California desert, only to later win in Miami, where he claimed his first ATP Masters 1000 title.

The 21-year-old Spaniard, currently ranked 3rd in the world, will start his campaign on Friday, though it will already be early Saturday morning in Spain. Alcaraz will be one of the main attractions of the evening session.

The day will begin at midnight with a match between US Open champion Madison Keys from the United States and Armenian Elina Anavesyan.

Next, but not before 1:30 AM (8:30 PM local time), Alcaraz will face veteran Belgian David Goffin, 34 years old and ranked 55th in the world. Goffin won his opening match against Australian Aleksandar Vukic 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

In their first meeting in Melbourne 2021, the Spaniard won 6-3, 6-3. Now, they will meet again in Miami. Goffin, who has only reached the quarterfinals in Acapulco this year, has lost seven of his last eleven matches.

While Alcaraz prepares for his evening match, Novak Djokovic will close the day’s action in the third session, facing Australian Rinky Hijikata around 9 PM, following the matches between Garcia-Swiatek and Medvedev-Munar.
