Another drop in Venezuelan sports in the hands of organized crime, in an opportunity the basketball player Zuliano Douglas Chiquito Sanz was killed, presumably during an attempted robbery.

The murder occurred on Thursday, March 14, in the afternoon, the 33-year-old athlete was traveling in his vehicle on the Falcón-Zulia highway.

After knowing the news, players of several Venezuelan basketball teams spoke through social networks. They regretted the event and sent condolences to family and friends of Chiquito Sanz.

Security forces investigate crime details to capture those responsible.
