Arsene Wenger Not To Blame Any More
Over the years, Arsenal fc have endured mediocre campaigns season upon season. Many critics channelled the blame on the coach's inability and willingness to sign world class players. Arsene Wenger ia renowned for his ability in discovering and building young talents like Fabregas, Thierry Henry, Ljunberg and his near signing of the two greatest players of our time- Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Last January, our screens were greeted with the news of what all Arsenal fans have been waiting for. The signing of Pierric Emric- Aubameyang and Mikhitryan. This two big signings added to contract extention of Mesut Ozil together with Lacazette, makes Arsenal a fearsome team for other clubs. The game against Everton was a message to every team about how strong Arsenal attacking set is but if the game againat Tottenham is anything to go with, then Arsenal is still lagging behind other premier league giants. In the words of Arsene Wenger " In the first half we missed three or four opportunities on the counter attack which is difficult to swallow, always the final ball. We contained them to very little.
Once they scored you could see we were wobbling and they could have scored more but in the last 10 minutes we should have come back to 1-1.
The first goal was key and we conceded it. Kane made the difference, that’s what he’s about. I have seen the replay, it is no foul, just good centre-forward play. We can only look at ourselves.
It will be more difficult to finish in the top four but we have to fight for it".
In my opinion, the coach shouldn't be blamed for arsenal's woes. He has signed the required players, his team is largely fortified now, he deserves a chance next season so that every team member can understand each other and get their games right.
