Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hopes to realize the desire of fans who crave the certainty of the Premier League title in the match against Manchester United on 7 April.

The Citizens got closer to the third title after overcoming Stoke City with a 2-0 win at Bet365 Stadium on Tuesday (13/3) early morning hrs. Two goals scored David Silva in each round.

With this victory, City increasingly solid at the top of the standings with the acquisition of 81 points, winning 16 points with United.

City will be sure to win if they win in the next two games, namely Everton and Manchester United opponents. Counter-game match made by Jose Mourinho's potential to be a title for them.

"To be a champion is difficult, feels complex," Guardiola was quoted as saying on City's official website.

"Our club does not have a history with many titles, as soon as it may get better, but now we will relax, the players will go with their respective national teams no matter where we will make sure the title.

"I understand how important it is for our fans to win [the title] against United, but the target is the next game at Everton, and if we play like this, sooner or later we will be the champions.
