We Are Now in Slow Growth Mode + June 17th News - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 73 Report

in #splinterlands2 days ago

Six months ago, we were seeing 50 - 70 new Spellbook purchases per month. That is less than a thousand new players per year and we have to consider the fact that a significant number of players become inactive due to various reasons. We are now 4 times better than that. This is not some sudden spike. We are seeing sustained growth without even seeing a large amount of money being spent on marketing.

This is certainly not enough to reach mainstream attention. One of the advantages we have is there are already hundreds of thousands of inactive accounts that could become active under better market conditions. We are on a good trajectory; but far from winning.

This was a good Season with satisfying performance. I expect to maintain this position for the coming months. I don't think it is likely that I will perform better than Champion III. I also consider Diamond I to be the worst case scenario. I don't expect to see any Leaderboard Rewards either.

I have my current focus on Legendary Cards and today I manged to get Frigid Wolf to Max Level. This is not all that great since I have many Legendary Cards stuck in Level 1 and 2. There is a 1 in 12 chance that an expensive Legendary Draw I make will be wasted on a duplicate.

I have already given up on Epic Draws because I have only one Card left to Max out. I have many duplicates of others which may become useful for Survival Mode once it is back. Survival Mode is a great way to add more utility to the Cards. Price does not fall with inflation; it falls when selling happens.

Although the trading volume is down for the Card Market, we have done okay with the price itself because we have not had too many sellers compared to buyers. Having larger trading volumes is very important when it comes to CEX listings. Lower trading volumes with stable prices are better than high trading volumes with falling prices IMO.

We have seen DEC reach its soft peg of $0.001 and hold itself close to the target price for almost 2 months now. There were some massive short term crashes during this time period. This is a job well done fro DEC. The prices are unlikely to have a tight peg similar to USDT and similar stablecoins. What we have is good enough for gaming.
