Changing Strategies Around Glint Expenditure, Land Updates and SEO Challenges
Since there is only a few months till the end of Rebellion Reward Cards, I have thought about the best way to utilize the Glint I earn from playing in Wild Battles + occasional other Rewards such as from the Leaderboard. I have all except 1 Epic Card at Max Level. I have many duplicates at Silver League Levels. These were useful for the Survival Mode Battles. What I am looking towards at the moment is the Legendary Collection. There is a fair chance that I will be able to get each of them into Level 4. Once I start getting too many duplicates, Glint won't be getting spend efficiently.
I want to target Rare Cards more as their is a limit to how many Draws one can make at the lowest price point. The choice is between specific draws verses Reward Chests. I thought of trying out Reward Chests after a long time. It must have been many months since I last bought one with Glint. I get few of them from League Advancement Rewards. Use the "Academy" panel on the right side to learn more about the purchase. This small educational features are a great way to improve the retention of new players and keep them informed.
The following data is on the previous Season. I spent most of it on Legendary Draws. Then I tried my luck on the Reward Chests. The results were a reminder of why I became such a fan of Rarity Draws.

Chest Opening Results
The MERITS were spent on Gladius Cases and they were immediately opened with Blood Stones and Power Stones. I had some stocked up during the last few days of the previous Season. This is the best time to buy Blood Stones and Power Stones as the Shop discount reach 10%. This is a special perk for Guild participants with high enough activity. I'm a proud member of Roaring Twenties. It is the best Guild I have ever seen and the members fit the values and gameplay I want to be around.
The Battles + Earnings
I'm not doing great with Survival and I'm okay with it. I see it as an extra use case for the Cards I already have. Survival Mode is great for the duplicates I have around. Most of my Land in Praetoria remains inactive due to a severe lack of DEC. I want to HODL my positions for as long as I can into the bull market. Saving in DEC is for the bear markets.

Land is becoming more and more of an important part of @splinterlands while delivering more and more of the promises few years behind schedule. We have to be happy that the game and community is alive unlike most other games during the gaming peak.

The Latest Updates on Land Development
A skyscraper needs to be built on strong foundations. What would work for a regular house cannot support the weight of a structure that is hundreds of meters tall. What seems like nice to have quality of life feature will become impossible to live without once there is a complex simulated economy of ~50 resources. There is no point of building a feature only to change it soon after. Having good communication between teams and working with a clear vision guided by the Whitepaper will allow the team to ship many feature even during the next bear market as they will be built on strong foundations.
We Must Inform The Public Better
Above search results are from Brave Search. The information is not upto date. We have already reached Land 1.75 and we are slowly working towards Land 2.0. The final phase is the most difficult and it should take some time to achieve. I doubt it would be a single large update either. The pressing matter at hand is that search engines are not very aware of the latest news regarding Splinterlands. Even the videos are from an entirely different era.
This is not even a case of some videos with high view counts popping up in search results. What we have is a serious gap in marketing. If potential players are getting informed about a version of the game from an entirely different time, they are likely to form very inaccurate opinions that does not reflect the current state of the game. We need to do better with SEO. We already have a social media on blockchain that has many websites as front ends for the articles. We need to use our tools better to make sure everyone knows about the amazing things that have been built on HIVE.
