RE: Random Thoughts To Help You Meditate (Better)

in #spirituality7 years ago

Im not sure what to make of the name you chose for this account: Steem Spirit. As a platform cant have a spirit as sutch. Only a collective of the total intention of the users. And any 1 user cannot be that. But hey, its just a name i guess. (even though i know names does effect what others think of the entity using the name)

Meditation is manny things ive learned in time, as ive been reading about it and other subjects aswell as practicing meditation myself.
To say that "im now meditation" is similar to say that "im now moving my body"
What is the intention you have in moving your body? what are you doing?
Similarly; What is your intention when meditation? what are your poin(s) of focus?
Interesting still to read how others pratice and use it.
I whould say that, even if yes it is best to be confortable in the position you choose to place yourself in, there is a reason behind the lotus position the way I see it. Although its not that important to have the leggs crossed, to be upright seated does have the effect of aligning your energy points with the earth and the univerce("the sky" then above you).

But then I tend to fall asleep if I lay down too, and that cant be called meditation, as in meditation you can to a much greater degree recall what you experience. But then could you call lucid dreaming a form of meditation ?

Hey thanks for reading. I chose the name because it kind of just came to me. I post on spiritual topics and its on steem. Plus steem is all about building a community so its a play on "team spirit". Thank you for pointing out the lotus position and how it aligns the chakras. I never thought of that. But I would say Lucid Dreaming could TOTALLY be considered meditation. When lucid dreaming you are in your own subconscious mind. You can learn anything about yourself and lucid dreaming is also an extremely efficient technique to astral project.
