The Internet has made available for the public eye vast library of previously occulted works. Any curious individual can access tons of material about spirituality, consciousness, ritual magick and many other once forbidden subject that would have led you to get burned at stakes. Yet, most individual cannot find themselves out of this mess. Since nothing can be verified on a rational basis, one is bound to his own intuition through a long journey of trials and errors. Believe it or not but some people eventually do breakout through the other side, and when it happens they get contained by other initiates as well as by their own guardian angels.
Angels are not nice like mainstream culture and religion led you to believe, angels are more
like Sylvester Stallone in the movie Demolition Man.
Reality is not what it seems. Angels are authoritarian, they will punish you if you act wrongfully. They will fool you to teach you not to get fool. They will test you all the time. But in the end, they will make you a better person and help you reach enlightment. A dark entity, on the other hand, does not enforce order. A dark entity feed you ego and let you crash into a brick wall at full speed. "Yes, take that drug. Betray your close ones, think only about yourself etc." Even though dark magick practitioners are pretty weak because, well, they are in the dark. Darkness does not prevent you from leaking secret teachings. The light does. And it does it for a good reason.
The vast majority of people are egotistical maniacs
It is as simple as that. The darkness would be glad to have a bunch of unsubdued ego going around spreading chaos. Our judicial system just cannot deal with magick. It's not that light wants to prevent you gain a certain knowledge, but they want to make sure you are ready before you get there and you are responsible with it. And in all cases, the vast majority of people will not comprehend what you are doing. They will either think you are completely crazy or pure evil, which will lead you to get persecuted even in today's society.
