What is a Queen, seriously?

This is a write-up I did back in February 2013 about a concept I saw in the African-American (Black) community.

Just been doing some research for some months now, and I noticed so many great women that were queens of mass kingdoms; warriors that fought along with men in wars and kicked major ass every which way they saw; serene peacemakers and other great attributes, while keeping their masculine and feminine energies in perfect balance/harmony which made them divine completeness.

A question came to me: in America, why do most black women want to be called queens or royalty walking; or self proclaimed themselves as queens; but a good portion of them do things that are contradicting to queen traits and knowledge? (Same question can be applied to the "Black men are kings" concept.) Or more so they are lazy as in, they want to be “taken care of” but don’t want to take care (causing harm) and expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter by their men. It doesn’t sound like a queen, sound like little children waiting for the rewards of their parents.

They (the queens) take care of themselves and others, and build for themselves with their power. Just like kings care and protect for their queens; the queens care and protect their kings (chess, anyone?) So they called themselves queens, but their Queendom WITHIN them are reduced to nothing which was destroyed by the chains of religion, the media, by the broken men that THEY choose/attract for themselves, by the “girlfriends” they have around them and mainly destroyed by their own hands. Words create life, but actions with words bring it rapidly. No inner Queendom equal no queen… point blank. Just false advertisement in the wind.
