I know that most people do not like spiders very much, but I love to see them making webs around my gardens. They are ferocious eaters of insects and help to keep the population down around my veggie gardens. This is a photo I took of a common Garden Spider that made her web in the midst of my Kale garden. She is so striking and the design on her back reminds me of an Alien.... just saying. She did a wonderful job all summer long and had a huge brood that hatched too.

Thank you @claudiaz for creating this fun challenge for us this week. I love the spiderwebs.

Until next time, this is Sunscape...

Beautiful photography. It is a wonderful insect, which makes true works of art. Sure, I see them from afar. regards

Yes, I agree, I stay a ways away from them while letting them do their job.

Dear Sunscape always talk you. You take amazing pictures and I enjoy so much

And Denisse, you are always so sweet, have fun learning new baking tips this week. I support your efforts. xoxo

I really love it the saturdays I learning so much! This week we will make bread stuffed with ham, cheese and bacon here we called cachitos and we will also make donuts and pumps stuffed with custard

Wow, good for you. It sounds like a lot of fun for you and of course useful for your future.

wow, nice photo thanks @sunscape

Thank you, this was one of my garden residents last summer

Incredible capture! I also can appreciate their place in nature 🕸🕷

Hi Nina, The spiders do a wonderful job.

I am one of those people when it comes to spiders but I have to admit she is a beauty:)

Well I do keep my distance, but appreciate their role.

One of the nicknames they have around here is the ladder spider because of the 'ladders' they weave into the centers of their webs. A variation of these is also called the banana spider and I swear I've seen them bounce on their webs. Not sure the purpose of it, but they seem to want to have fun :P

Hi @enginewitty I know they have a lot of names around the country. I just call them my garden spiders...lol I see them regularly in my gardens and they are amazing to see. I wonder if the bounce is to attract something or maybe a mate. I have found large oval egg sacks from them and can only imagine how many babies would be in it.

Hello! I very often meet your comments in different places, so it turns out that we have similar interests. I also take pictures and paint. I would be privy to get to know you if you are interested in my posts in my blog.

Hello @marymik23 It is nice to meet you here as well. I stopped at your page and followed you so we will be seeing each other on a regular basis, I'm sure.

Great, I'm very happy!
