BIRTH INJURY
Most birth injuries involve serious complications that can lead to permanent disabilities and disfigurement, especially if not treated immediately. Left untreated, birth injuries can develop into severe consequences that can also lead to your child developing a brain trauma or paralysis. Some symptoms of birth injuries can
be caught while your baby is still in the hospital in which special needs will be require, whereas some signs of birth injuries aren’t seen
until your child develops through growth stages or begins school. Generally, Birth injury which is one of the causes of special needs condition mostly affect a baby’s head, neck, and shoulders,although they can cause damage to any other part of the body.
These areas of the body are more likely to be injured because most babies are born in a head first position.
HEART DEFECTS
Heart is the central organ of our body. The moment it ceases to
function, we die. It is an important muscle of the body. Stress, bad food habits, modern living styles apply pressure onthe functioning of the heart and causes several heart defects, that can prove to be fatal.
A heart defected person becomes physically inactive and suffers from
constant fatigue. Blood pressure fluctuates and one suffers from either high blood pressure or low blood pressure. Those suffering from congenital heart disease are faced with death due to heart
attack. Plaque formation on the arterial walls causes coronary
heart disease. The blood vessels get blocked causing damage to various organs of the body. Peripheral vascular disease is due to blocked arteries in the arms and legs. It presents the mobility of the arms and legs, causing physical disability.
Therefore, a person with heat defection must be kept under special needs condition for proper assistance.
