Si doblas una hoja 45 veces alcanzará la luna! / If you fold a leaf 45 times, you will reach the moon!
Hace un tiempo me enteré por el programa Cazadores de mitos que si doblabas por la mitad una hoja 45 veces llegaría hasta la luna, y me parececio sumamente interesante, por eso me puse a realizar este post.
Teóricamente si uno doblará una hoja de papel 45 veces, el grosor de la misma tendría la longitud de la distancia entre la tierra y la luna!!
Obviamente esto es algo completamente imposible, primero que todo porque una hoja de papel no puede ser doblada más de 7 veces, y si no me crees te invito a que lo intentes.
Para poder entender mejor esto no lo veas o no te lo imagines como si fuera algo físico, como si de verdad estuvieras doblando una hoja de papel, porque así no podrás entender nunca, hay que verlo desde un punto de vista matemático. Si una hoja de papel la doblas por la mitad tendras el doble del grosor del papel original, si la vuelves a doblar por la mitad tendrás 4 veces el grosor original del papel, y lo si lo vuelves a doblar por la mitad tendrás 8 veces el grosor original, y así consecutivamente hasta llegar al doblete número 45
Todo es puro cálculo matemático, por cada doblete que hagas tienes que multiplicarlo por 2, y así consecutivamente
Explicado numéricamente sería asi: Doblando el papel 42 veces tendriamos dos elevado a 42 capas, o lo que es lo mismo, 4.398.046.511.104 capas. Si cada capa tiene un grosor de 0.8 decimas de milimetro, obtenemos un grosor de 351.843,72 kilometros, increible...
Y si con doblarlo 42 llegaríamos a la luna, imagínense si se hiciera 100 veces, diría yo que se podría llegar al sol!! . Esto es algo sumamente interesante y curioso, cuando leí sobre esto me quedé muy impresionado, espero que así se hayan quedado ustedes, y si no me creen nada de esto los invito a investigar más y nutrir más sus cerebros de conocimiento.
