¡¡¡Saltos de Vértigo!!!Las Cataratas de Kawasan/
Kawasan Falls-Canyoning Adventure
(Badian-Cebu-Filipinas)

Hola Steemians,

      Hoy comienzo a compartir con todos ustedes mi apasionante viaje a través de Asia, que tiene como punto de partida la isla de Gran Canaria(España), pasando por Madrid, China, Filipinas, Malasia y Tailandia. Este va a ser el primero de una serie de artículos que voy a ir publicando durante los próximos días.

Aunque no es el principio de mi viaje, lo pongo como número uno porque es uno de los lugares más maravillosos que he visitado en mi vida, y la aventura que va acompañada de este lugar les va a impresionar...

      Después de varios días de camino con mi mochila a la espalda que empezaron en la capital de Filipinas(Manila), y pasando por otros sitios maravillosos como Corón y Boracay, llegué junto a mi compañera mochilera a la isla de Cebú. Fue el momento en que me enamoré más aún si cabe de este país.

Nos dirigíamos hacia Moal-boal. Nuestro primer objetivo era encontrar un sitio donde dormir, ya que poco a poco se hacía la noche...
Pero como hipnotizados, envueltos en la maravillosa biodiversidad que rodeaba el lugar, con contrastes de una enorme selva verde y a solo unos pasos del mar, y que reflejaba en esos momentos una increíble fusión de colores con la puesta de sol, nuestro caminar se ralentizaba.

      Finalmente, y guiados por esta magnífica guía de Lonely Planet, encontramos una casa para huespedes, donde nos recibieron amablemente. Cuando estuvimos frente a ella nos dimos cuenta por las fotos que tenían a su entrada, de que también organizaban la gran aventura del barranquismo en las Cataratas de Kawasan, dimos en el clavo.

A la mañana siguiente muy temprano nos levantamos, impacientes por conocer las cascadas de Kawasan y empezar la aventura. Todo empezó de manera muy graciosa, ya que nos dijeron que teníamos que ir tres personas en la misma motocicleta, cosa que me sorprendió...pero apretaditos, entre risas y de manera aparentemente segura, aquella motocicleta nos llevó montaña arriba a través de la selva.

      Llegados al punto por donde la moto no podía seguir avanzando, empezamos una caminata a través de las montañas de Barangay Matutinao. La postal desde allí era preciosa.

      Se respiraba aire puro, era un sitio virgen, se escuchaban a los pájaros cantar. Disfruté de un paseo agradable y tranquilo, ¡¡¡antes de que llegaran las emociones fuertes!!!

Aunque primero hice un alto en el camino al encontrarme con estos amiguitos :)

Y ya casi estábamos allí, escuchando el agua correr, mientras bajábamos por un empinado camino, ¡¡Woowww!!

      Habíamos llegado, era mas bello de lo que podía haber imaginado. Un entorno casi prehistórico, cuevas en las que se habían formado estalactitas que colgaban en lo alto, acantilados de los que brotaba verde por todas partes, una jungla inmensa.

Toqué el agua, asumía que iba a estar muy fría, pero las emociones hicieron que mi cuerpo se mantuviese a temperatura.

      Con el agua casi hasta a la altura de la cintura, caminando o nadando mientras sorteábamos rocas y otros obstáculos a nuestro paso, ya atinaba a ver a lo lejos un desnivel en la orografía. La adrenalina empezaba a fluir por mi cuerpo como el agua por aquella Cascada. Tenía aproximadamente 4 metros de altura.

¡¡¡Había llegado el momento del primer salto!!!

Un buen subidón!!! Que experiencia más bonita estaba viviendo. Se vé reflejado en mi cara. Continuamos con la bajada, a veces por complicados pasos en forma de garganta que se estrechaban cada vez más. Había que estar ágil, y con un poco de habilidad se conseguía seguir adelante.

Se iban sucediendo pequeños saltos no tan expectaculares como el primero, pero que estaba disfrutando al máximo. Aquí les dejo con el siguiente, muy divertido!!!

      A medida que íbamos avanzando aquella selva tan densa se iba abriendo y los rallos del sol nos empezaban a tocar. Las fotografías mejoraban

Así llegamos al tercer salto, este era el de más altura hasta el momento. Tenía que medir bien el salto, ya que había que saltar en medio de una de las gargantas que mencioné anteriormente, teniendo una pared de roca a cada lado, ¡¡impresiona!!

Este me encantó, pude volver atrás y saltar por segunda vez.

Poco a poco nos vamos acercando al final de este incríble descenso. Pero no os preocupéis, aquí una peripecia, casi perfecta... ¡¡moló!!

      Ahora sí, llega el último salto, y para mí el mejor de todos, el lugar más bonito del camino recorrido, y con la altura máxima de salto. ¡¡Allá vamos!!

Bueno, aquí se acaba la aventura de Las Cataratas de Kawasan. Pero mi camino a través de Asia continúa.

Mi paso por Filipinas, y la aventura vivida allí, ha sido la mejor experiencia de mi vida. Le doy las gracias a todos los Filipinos y a todos los que me han apoyado. Sin su ayuda no habría podido crear estos maravillosos momentos, y continuar mi viaje.

Kawasan Falls-Canyoning Adventure

(Badian-Cebu-Philippines)

Hello Steemians,

      Today I begin to share with all of you my exciting journey through Asia, which has as its starting point the island of Gran Canaria (Spain), passing through Madrid, China, the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand. This is going to be the first of a series of articles that I will be publishing during the next few days.

Although it is not the beginning of my trip, I put it as number one because it is one of the most wonderful places I have visited in my life, and the adventure that goes with this place will impress you ...

      After several days of walking with my backpack to the back that started in the capital of the Philippines (Manila), and going through other wonderful places like Coron and Boracay, I arrived with my backpacker companion to the island of Cebu. It was the moment in which I fell more in love even of this country.

We were heading towards Moal-boal. Our first goal was to find a place to sleep, since little by little the night
was coming ...
But as hypnotized, wrapped in the wonderful biodiversity that surrounded the place, with contrasts of a huge green jungle and just a few steps from the sea, and that reflected in those moments an incredible fusion of colours with the sunset, our walk slowed down.

Finally, and guided by this magnificent guide of Lonely Planet, we found a guest house, where they received us kindly. When we were in front of the house we realized by the photos that they had at the entrance, that they also organized the great adventure of canyoning in the Kawasan Falls, we hit the spot.

      The next morning very early we got up, impatient to know the waterfalls of Kawasan and start the adventure. It all started in a very funny way, since they told us that we had to go three people on the same motorcycle, which surprised me... but tight, laughing and in a seemingly secure way, that motorcycle took us up the mountain through the jungle.

      At the point where the motorcycle could not move forward, we started a hike through the mountains of Barangay Matutinao. The postcard from there was beautiful.

You could breathe pure air, it was a virgin place, you could hear the birds singing. I enjoyed a pleasant and peaceful walk, before the strong emotions arrived!!!

Although I first made a stop on the way to meet these friends:)

And we were almost there, listening to the flow of water, while we were going down a steep road, Woowww !!!!!!

      We had arrived, it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. An almost prehistoric environment, caves in which stalactites had formed that hung above, cliffs that sprouted green everywhere, an immense jungle. I touched the water, I assumed it was going to be very cold, but the emotions made my body stay warm.

With water almost up to waist height, walking or swimmingwhile raffling rocks and other obstacles in our path, I already managed to see in the distance a drop in the orography. The adrenaline began to flow through my body like water through that waterfall. It was approximately 4 meters high.
It was time for the first jump !!!

      A good high! What a beautiful experience I was living. It is reflected in my face. We continued with the descent, sometimes by narrow steps in the form of a throat that narrowed more and more or half caves. You had to be agile, and with a little skill you could keep going.

They were happening small jumps not as spectacular as the first, but I was enjoying it to the fullest. Here I leave you with the following one, very funny !!!

      As we were advancing that dense forest was opening and the sun rays began to touch us. The photographs improved !!!

Thus we arrived at thethird jump, this was the one of more height until the moment. I had to measure the jump well, since you had to jump in the middle of one of the gorges that I mentioned earlier, having a rock wall on each side, it impresses!!!

I loved it, I was able to go back and jump for the second time.

Little by little we are approaching the end of this incredible descent. But do not worry, here an acrobatics, almost perfect... ;)!!!

Now yes, the last jump comes, and for me the best of all, the most beautiful place on the way traveled, and with the maximum jump height.

Here we go!!!

Well, here is the adventure of Kawasan Falls. But my way through Asia continues.
