Emmanuel, God with us!
There are times in our lives when we find ourselves in the midst of uncertainty, so we discover this word of God and it reminds us that we are not alone.
As we see the context of this verse that we have read, the people of Judah were going through a time of crisis, God gives hope by assuring his saving presence in the midst of the most difficult situations.
The arrival of the Messiah, of Emmanuel, is proof of God's love for humanity. The birth of Jesus is a fulfilled prophecy and is also a reminder that God is with us today, walking by our side in the midst of our victories and our struggles, guiding us and supporting us at all times.
This prophecy inspires us to live experiencing the presence of God daily, fully trusting that God is with us.
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call his name Immanuel.
