Habla solo de lo necesario: Tu pequeño tendrá muchas preguntas ante la novedad de que viene en camino un nuevo integrante a la familia, lo importante es responder solo lo que te pregunta sin añadir más información para evitar confundirlo.
No lo regañes: Algunos niños, al sentirse desplazados por la llegada de un nuevo bebe al hogar, presentan regresiones en su desarrollo como hablar chiqueado, mojar la cama o querer usar biberón. No lo regañes, habla con él y trátalo con mucha paciencia y compresión para que supere lo mejor posible esta etapa.
Vinculo en el embarazo: Motiva a tu hijo a crear un vínculo con él bebe, antes que este nazca. Permite que se acerque a tu vientre y le hable, le cante o incluso le cuente sus historias de fantasías favoritas, estableciendo también un lazo que podrá fortalecer con el tiempo.
Inclúyelo en la espera: Si tu hijo se involucra en la espera y los preparativos para recibir a su hermanito o hermanita, podrá relacionar su llegada como algo bueno. Una forma de hacerlo sentir parte, es pedirle su opinión sobre el nombre que llevara el nuevo integrante o que ropa le gustaría que usara al salir del hospital.
