Montaña Arcoiris/ Rainbow Mountain

in #spanish5 years ago (edited)
Hello again Steemians, welcome to another post. On my last post I showed you Cusco, if you haven't read it yet you can read it on the next link: [https://steemit.com/spanish/@aleinys/enamorate-de-cusco-la-ciudad-imperial-inca] With no further ado I would like to talk to you about my first adventure in this travel: The Rainbow Mountain: Known as well as Vinicunca or Wininunka from the “Quechua” dialect. Why is it so famous? Its seven colours that make you fantasize with a drawed rainbow in a mountain surrounded of wildlife and a marvelous lanscape of snow-capped peaks and valleys. To walk this path you should be prepared with: · Very good tracking boots. · Suncream. · Water. · Sunglasses. · A few winter clothes, do not overdo them, while you’re walking the body is warm and you may not need them but later when stopping to take a breath or even when getting to the top your body will ask for them again. · And for sure your camera or phone to catch the best views. To be honest if you're not ready to walk in high altitude you better get ready soon, because Vinicunca has 5200m. above sea without talking about the walking distance, if you don't believe me you can see my tired face in the picture below. It’s about 1hour and 30 minutes or 2 hours if you walk slow. Now that you have an idea about where we’re going and what you should bring I’ll explain you what you’re going to find. The journey starts at 5 o’ clock in the morning in Cusco, approximately 2 hours of bus driving, there is a moment where you start to go up an up and if you are close to the window you can see the road passing very close to the cliff, but dont worry it is just from your point of view, like and optical illusion, it causes fear but it's very safe. After that bus journey your going to start walking throught the valley until the mountain, the path will amaze you with the landscape, you can find birds flying to a very low altitude challenging and with no fear of the human, deep in the valleys you’re going to see watercourses and alpacas folks, at your left side completely snow-capped peaks and at some point at your right side you’re going to see the red valley, which you can visit if youre bold enough because takes a few hours more to explore it. During the walk there is local people offering different services such as: · Horseback transportation to the mountain, for those who didn’t get ready to walk. · Washrooms. · Picture with llamas and alpacas. · Sale of any article that you need, and as a tip I’ll suggest you to buy “agua florida”, and the coca candies; these are really good for the altitud and will help you during the path if you are tired. Almost at the end of this journey you’re going to find the “Alpacetas” or tributes of Stone, those are stone’s towers which has been built by the travellers; in exchange of health and protection during the journey. Get ready because the best is comming soon, you’ll see the colours of this famous mountain, I’ll let you a picture below so at the end you’ll decide if visiting the place. During the path you’ll be captivated, but look out! Dont let this view fool you, on top you’re going to make better pictures and the view is stunning. As a last advice I’ll tell you to walk until the end, where you will aprecciate better the colors Now is your decision to choose if accepting the challenge, and if you decide so, I would like you to tell me if my advices have worked, also read a before an after comment of youre experience. And if you just decided to read the post, just comment what do you think. Thank you now for reading and your patience.
