A service was held at a martyr cemetery in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on April 28 to re-bury remains of 13 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia during wartime.

Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Steering Committee for the Search and Repatriation of Remains of Fallen Soldiers (Steering Committee 515) of Military Region 5 and Dak Lak province.

The remains were repatriated during the 2019-2020 dry season by Team K15 of the Dak Lak Military High Command and were handed over to the Vietnamese side at the beginning of this month.
H’Yim Kdoh, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the provincial Steering Committee 515, expressed his gratitude at the ceremony towards the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s liberation.

Dak Lak has repatriated and reburied remains of 682 soldiers found in Cambodia since 2001. VNA
