In the comments under such videos, you’ll often see “balance updates” showing +$2k or more. Many people think this is real scam profit - but it’s not.

In reality, these are the scammers’ own funds injected into their pool to build a nice “staircase up” and bait a big victim. But it doesn’t always work - sometimes they even close at a loss themselves. That’s what’s called an “applied rug pull.”
