Steem Power Delegation

in #sndbox7 years ago

Not enough power ????

When I first came onto steemit , I realize that there were some accounts which had a negative number see in their wallet.

Why borrow out your power ?

Here are reasons which I can think of why

  • For indirect monetary gains
  • To help friends / family to get started on steemit
  • Taking a break from steemit / Holiday

How to delegate your steempower to someone

You can run this url and it would literally delegate 50 SP from @myach account to @bitrocker2020 account. If you are looking at more SP you can increase the vesting_share amount. ( eg. vesting_shares=1035360 would be around 500 Steem Power )

I don't want to borrow , I want to borrow from someone else. Is there a way ?

One of the way to find whales ( someone with a lot of steem power ) is to go to http://minnowbooster.net

Its a market space for whales to fulfill minnows request for Steem Power .

Its a simple tool where all you have to do is to go to http://minnowbooster.net . You do not need to signup or anything. On your left, you have to click lease from bot.

You then need to fill up the blanks and make sure the account you want to borrow steem power has the STEEM coin to pay for the rental and then click LEASE.

As soon as the lease gets fulfilled by someone , you will then see it reflect in your Steemit Wallet account

Summary

Why would you delegate Steem Power ?

Most likely to help someone or to get some Steem or you are going on holiday.

Why would I need to borrow Steem Power ?

So that each time you upvote , its much higher then what it was . You do not need to borrow steem power if you community has a curation trail bot ,which helps you out with votes.

Can I profit from leasing out Steem Power ?

Of course you can. Its using unused steem power for a short duration and it all gets returned back to you once the lease has ended.

Is it profitable from borrowing Steem Power ?

Depends on what rate the lender would want to give you. Average between 35% - 70% It may not make you an overnight billionaire , but who knows.

This is great. Delegation is one of the most powerful (and misunderstood) features of the Steem blockchain! Thanks for sharing your valuable insight here @bitrocker2020 :)

Thanks for helping to demistify the SP delegation @bitrocker2020. I am still trying to understand how to earn as a curator before trying out & leasing some SP from Minnow Booster ;)

Now i finally realised the importance of steem power. Its time to boost up. Anyway, always grateful for your high upvote bro. I owe you many bowl ngau chap already. Lol

Thank u for shedding the light on this area, i dont have much knowledge on it this is super helpful! Im on a power up focus now but i do need more SP i will look into minnowbooster.

Kudos for the amazing shares u always bless us with!

Mantap, saya pun lagi mencari delegasi.
Tadi saya ada mendapatkan sedikit suntikan delegasi dari sahabat saya orang korea.
Semoga kita semakin berjaya di platform ini

Prefer to keep my little SP and be able to vote more than 0.01

Nice post... great help for newbie like myself..

Thanks for this @bitrocker2020 incredibly useful I have thought about borrowing extra steem power as I like curating and giving back but also not sure if id be losing or earning.

i think if you kept voting 10 posts at 15% every 2.5 hrs , you would profit. I remember the calculation is around there. However if you are leasing your SP and anyone giving APR 35% or more , literally you are profiting more.

Wow thanks @bitrocker2020 amazing advice I might look into that and with some more courage give it a shot thanks very much btw dont I need to buy over a certain % to profit?

Great article. I lease out steem power from an old account that I dont use anymore to this account. It looks a little daunting, but it's not that difficult.

yea .. its pretty straight forward

Good info.. Trying my best to read all possible and upvote. I felt guilty for being inactive for past months..

nothing to be guilty about ... you post when you can ... we are all here to support you =)
