Very good photographs of the hand tractor. Are the wheels the way they are due to soil conditions?
I have what we call a roto-tiller. It appears to be similar except for what looks like the I had planned on taking a photograph along with other "gardening" photos. But that will have to wait until our snow goes away.
Very interesting post. I grew up on a farm besides working on a dairy farm My dad had a farm where he grew vegetables and sold at market. He relied heavy on a walk behind roto-tiller like I use. And he was farming 5 to 10 acres of vegetables.
I am going to resteem, but beware I have a lot of spammers that show up on my followers list. I am trying to clean up that list but worry I am sending them to people when I reteem posts. Feel free to flag the spammers. ;o)
A hand tractor can move back and forth at a certain speed because the rotation of the drive motor shaft is supplied to the wheels. There are three types of wheels used on hand tractors, namely: tire wheels, iron wheels, float wheels (wheel cage / cage wheell). The tire wheel works for transportation. and cultivate dry land. The surface shape of the tire wheel is grooved slightly to prevent slippage. Tire wheels can reduce vibration, so as not to damage the road. Iron wheels are used for piracy on dry land. The fins on the iron wheels will stick to the ground, thus reducing the occurrence of slippage when pulling heavy loads. In this hand tractor uses Floating Wheel because it is used during the processing of wet soil. These floating wheels have a wide, there is also a large diameter, so it can withstand the load of the tractor so as not to drown in the mud. Wheel size adjusted to tractor specifications. The size of the wheel will affect the speed of the tractor.
yes sir, you are right. The structure of the wheels is done to move in the wet, damp ground. It's old to see. But it is still possible to work.
Thank you. It looked like the purpose was for wet soil. Something I do not have to deal with. Cool machine!
it is true r2cornell, the shape of the wheel like that for wet land thanks
Thank you. I do like the looks of it, and it is a great design for what it is used for.
Once I get my machine out of storage I will share along with gardening posts.
