Year of the Masternodes?

Is 2018 the year master nodes officially take off?

Had you spun up a DASH master node at the start of 2017, you would be rolling in the $$$, and still would be making ~$100 a day. Now, who would have known DASH would take off like that last year ...

Note: one notable coin missing from that list is Smartcash (currently ranked 84 in marketcap).

Is this the year to invest in a masternode? The returns are certainly enticing, and if they take off this year, the earlier one invests the better.
