There is a star man in all of us
What’s wrong with wanting a little privacy in a small town? I like keeping to myself unless around friends or with my heart and I can be myself. I come off as awkward, lonely, sometimes sad. But I am who I am, and I don’t want to be anyone else. I enjoy my friends, family and love the way I do. Always will, so if I come off as lost or lonely in a small town it’s because I never really fit in this town, but fit in with my like minded peers. In a way we’re all just a little lost, even though there are those of us who claim we are found (not me, God knows how I am)
I like being a little lost, makes life more interesting and the adventure worth it. Small towns are not a bad place to live, but people talk and make assumptions. That isn’t the part that I enjoy. I keep to myself and hope for the best, that change will come and maybe at some point it won’t be so bad to stick around someday.
You know what is interesting? I was adopted, and raised in a family that I love very much, but, I just didn't ever feel like I fit in.
Now that I am pushing 50 years old, I realized, we all feel like that. We all feel like we don't fit. I love what Dr. Seuss says, 'Why are you trying to fit in when you were born to stand out?'. I think that's who said that quote.
I know he said this quote, 'Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind'.
Thank you for the kind words, sir😊 they mean a lot. I don’t mind fitting in, I like the friends I have, we’re all off beat and strange. Thank you friend.
Glad we can get lost together.
I love you my lost boy💞🦑
