I'm only on chapter 3 but so far it's pretty good. He does a great job outlining the sort of intellectual and cultural movements that were happening mostly due to oppression and events, but we just don't have these triggers today. My thoughts just keep going back to how people today are happy working for their mortgages. They don't have this urge for freedom that the nihilists and materialists brought... people already think that they are liberated! In my opinion, this is capitalism's (and in part, demo's) greatest trick.
