Spring Cleaning - "one man's trash is another man's treasure"

in #singapore7 years ago

It is this time of the year again here in SG, when our Chinese friends do their annual cleaning. They will normally discard their old furniture, clothes and other stuff that they find unuseful, weeks before the CNY (Chinese New Year).

My housemates & I decided to also declutter our house last week. We gathered all the items we don’t want anymore. Instead of disposing it, we joined a flea market adjacent to our flat to convert our trash into dollars baby.

That's our stall, that's my housemate right there, doing all the sales talk.

See the crowd going gaga over the items on sale.

Not all the stalls sell pre-loved items. Some, sell their hand-crafted products just like Gabriel Jaeger. She's selling her handmade accessories. Her craft are all stunning. The pictures I've taken didn't do any justice to her amazing pieces. So if you want to see it clearly, you can go to her website https://gajabi.com/ Disclaimer: I'm not paid for promoting her products.

I bought something for myself also, a vintage monopoly board game. I paid a $1.00 for this. One happy kid right here.

At the end of the day, we managed to sell off almost everything. We earned a whooping S$200, converted to PHP it's roughly PHP7,500.00. Today is indeed one of the most productive sundays I had. Looking forward to many more Sundays like this.
