Last day

Morning or afternoon everyone…..

It’s our last day on vacation, we fly out tomorrow at 1:45pm. So as this gets posted we will be on our way to the airport.

We had done quite a bit in the days we were here, so the final day we decided to stay local and decided to visit the lion habitat ranch.

This ranch originally was not open to the public. It was where the lions for the MGM Grand were housed and fed. When the MGM Grand decided to stop having the lions on site, the ranch opened to the public.

We were pretty lucky in timing. Just as we walked in they were doing a feeding on two of the lions. The first one which is pictured above, has a plexiglass area for good photos.

Right next to that is another area where another was getting fed as well.

They take very good care of these animals. They all have huts that are cooled, so that the heat is more manageable. It was 108 degrees out yesterday here not in the sun.

They have few more animals there as well. An emu, and ostrich, several turtles. The giraffe has passed away just recently.

It was really cool to see these animals so close up.
