Anniversary vacation
Afternoon/evening everyone……
This post with any luck will be posted while I am on the plane heading back home. I am using the scheduler to post this, if it doesn’t work then I’m gonna be extremely late with a post.
Yesterday was without a doubt the hottest day of our time here. The temperature hit 89 degrees, but the humidity yesterday was insane and made the real feel in the high 90’s. It was beautiful out, but standing in the sun was very hot for sure.
We had to go see our guest services person to find out what time we are being picked up today to head to the airport. Thought it would be a good time to take a picture of the main lobby.
Yesterday was our anniversary, so I had made reservations for us at the French restaurant here. This and the hibachi restaurant are the only two that required reservations.
The restaurant has a piano in the center of the place and there was someone playing the entire time we were there.
The food was fantastic, we both got the Chateaubriand so only one dinner picture.
I did fail though. I had a lobster risotto as a starter but failed to take a picture. It was amazing sorry.
But you do get to see our deserts…..
The one is a take on a cannoli, it was a very rich but lighter version of the traditional cannoli with a shell of sugar coated puff pastry as the shell.
The other is a caramel mousse with a tres letche sauce. This was fantastic and extremely light.
After dinner we were walking to the pavilion and the sky opened up with rain. It was the first precipitation we had, so we were unprepared and got soaked.
