RE: Reverse Engineering The Shrem Steemit Ring
Excellent work! Do you have the connections/abilities to turn this into a physical product? If so, what kind of prices are we looking at for stainless steel, tungsten, and silver? Shrem was talking $200+ for silver, but I bet a lot of people would want one if the prices were significantly lower (even if it were a different metal).
Prices are definitely lower for stainless steel. I would need to investigate a different design to address higher prices for metal materials.
This ring design printed in silver was just under $200 with no markup.
If I go back and make the entire design as light as possible using very little material, there will be a price drop.
Here is what I am thinking:
At this point, when I have the lighter design uploaded, I will immediately see prices for silver, gold, stainless steel, and bronze.
Thanks for mentioning this. I will prioritize the low weight design and write up a post explaining my approach.
I have written up a post with different designs and the cost savings when less material is used or when the material is stainless steel, @shenanigator
