Bacopa is a very beautiful herb that adds charm to flowerbeds, terraces, balconies, and in some cases, home aquariums and artificial ponds. You can find seedlings in specialized stores or grow them from seeds yourself.

This plant, also called sutera, is mainly known as an aquatic plant. It is often used in ponds and aquariums. Bacopa originates from South Africa and can also grow in the Canary Islands and some Asian countries.

The hanging variety is mostly used for decorating loggias, terraces, and gardens. It grows as a climbing vine and is often planted in greenhouses or mixed flowerbeds.

The shoots are about 50-60 cm long and grow in a creeping pattern. Small flowers with five petals sprout from the corners of the leaf blades. Bacopa blooms so heavily that people in Britain call it "snowflakes." The flowers are small and can be single or double, depending on the variety. They close at night. People usually think of white flowers, but there are also pink and purple types.

This plant keeps looking good even during long rainy periods. It also stays attractive in wind or hot weather. Besides the pretty flowers, the small leaves on the long shoots add to its charm. The leaves are narrow, smooth, and small.

Bacopa needs proper care to grow well. It prefers bright, natural light and a warm environment. The soil should be moist but well-drained. Regular watering helps keep it healthy, especially during dry periods. It can be used to enhance garden designs or brighten up containers and hanging baskets.
