We dont stand for killing elephants for just their tusks, or rhinos. the shear brutality of mutilation to an animals body to satisfy the needs of the rich leaves blood stains on your hands.
If wiping species from this planet is your goal in life than go ahead, kill elephants, pangolin, rhinoceros, tigers, whales and sharks. If you have the money to buy your soul at the end of this life time than ill be there to meet you at the gates.

In asian countries it is tradition to eat shark fin soup as a wealth status in culture. Ignorance is seen when asked about if they know which shark they are eating and how shark populations are holding in constant threat of extinction. It is known that 70, 000, 000 sharks are finned each year and left alive finless to die at the bottom of the sea as waste.

shark fins can be worth up to 90 pounds per kilogram, making fins worth 300 pounds each for some.

Areas like Coasta Rica have seen shark numbers drop 60% in 9 years thanks to shark fining. Protected species, whale shark, hammer head, and great white are nationally protected species, that are still being targeted by fisherman in these countries.

With such limited regulations on asian countries like Tiawan and Indonesia, there is no stopping the trade any time soon unless it is properly sanctioned, outlawed and regulated.

I wont stand for an industry that wastes the lives of millions of sharks, for 3 fins. Neither should any body, stop the finning, disestablish the market for eating it, and save shark populations from a fate worse than hell.

For ways to help, support organisations such as Sea Shephard who fight for the rights of all marine animals.
