Steem activity is mostly voting, custom JSONs and only 15% money transfers... steem transactions on the blockchain do more than just send money, and the commenting is also small at just 6% ... custom JSON activity is growing at 20% thanks to steem dapps like @steemmonsters and @steemengine by @aggroed and the steem keychain extension by @yabapmatt https://steem-engine.com is now giving steem sub tokens and smart contracts allowing us to compete with #ethereum and even #eos

But Steem is used more than ethereum or eos and is the most popular blockchain platform according to https://stateofthedapps.com/rankings where steem is used by 9 out of the top 15 blockchain dapps, only one of these is even EOS based... steem seems to have a very unique style making it the best place to launch a dapp that people actually used... it's so strange like steem is like a wounded animal limping along in price while simultaneously running the most successful dapps like a homeless man whose secretly the worlds fastest rubicks cube champion... no one cares but it seems like a waste... I would love to hear the opinions of @aggroed @inertia and @fyrstikken about how steem works compared to EOS and if steem witnesses will need to beef up their servers to handle an increasing demand of steem-engine transactions

I think steem obviously has a secret edge when it comes to dapps and that is its active community that can actually afford to experiment and build, unlike ethereum or even eos where gas and even yes ram fees create a sort of pay wall for upstart developers, but steem of course cant do everything eos can do...but the things steem can do it does well like social, travel, review, fitness based lite dapps..

And new games like drugwars and the new DEX in SteemEngine prove a lot. ICO launcher with communities via scotbot will be cool

I repost my instagram feed to Steem with Share2Steem.io which I see as a gateway for people to bring content to steem and to bring millions of new users to steem to get paid for existing social media
