Unspoken pain: My journey Through Betrayal and Healing
Hi, my name is Sandra Audrey and I want to share my true life story. One day, I was inside my brother's shop where we sell phone accessories and also provide POS services. A friend from secondary school called me. We had finished secondary school four years ago, and he asked me out. He had actually asked me before, shortly after we finished school when I was 20 years old, but I had declined. Now, four years later, at 24 years old, he called me again expressing his interest in dating me. After some consideration, I agreed and we started dating.
One day, while coming back from church with my mom and kid sister, we ran into him. My mom had already heard about him from me and she liked him. We continued talking on the phone and eventually, I visited his house on a Sunday. He tried to be intimate with me, but I told him I was a virgin and had never done it before. He seemed disappointed but I went back the following Sunday.
After a few more visits, he asked me to come over one day. However, I had a bad feeling and didn't want to go because we had a fight the day before. Despite my hesitation, he insisted and I reluctantly went. When I arrived, he noticed my change in behavior and we had a disagreement. I expressed my concerns about his behavior and appearance, feeling that my parents wouldn't approve. We eventually resolved the issue, but I still felt uneasy and wanted to leave quickly.
He started getting physical with me, despite my protests. He forcefully undressed me and assaulted me. I was in pain and cried throughout the ordeal. After he was done, I asked to use the bathroom and he finally let me go. I noticed I was bleeding and we rushed to the hospital. The doctors informed both our parents that I had internal and external tears that needed stitches to stop the bleeding.
That is the story of my life.
