Everywhere we turn we are bombarded by sexual images and messages. Sex drives both the entertainment and the advertising industries. It fills the airwaves and the movie theaters. It is used to sell everything from mineral water, shaving cream to automobiles. Although we live in a time when issues of sexuality are discussed more openly and frankly than before but much of the popular discussions of sex is based on dreams, fantasy, and human ideas rather than on truth, reality, and the wisdom of the ages. The sad truth is that the Church typically has had little to add to the discussion. This is especially tragic because believers, who know and follow the God who created sex and established its proper parameters, should be able to speak more intelligently and confidently about it than anyone else. Yet the community of believers is often silent in the public forum regarding sex because of timidity, or a sense that the subject of sex is either too personal or not sufficiently "spiritual" for the Church to weigh in on publicly. The Church is the eye of the society, hence it is crucial that we come to a biblical understanding of sexuality in order to counter the errors and misinformation that are so prevalent in our society. Church, let us rise up and show the world the way because we are light the light of the world(Myles Munroe). To be continued...
Blessed day!

Yea sex ain't love, though it feel pretty damn good though.

Church being the eye of the society, really, repetition is not good for the eyes.

A biblical view would be procreation, that's it, sadly it's too bland for modern people. We are way too focused on recreation, fun and whatnot, I'm all ears on how the Church sees sexuality. Also there is the argument there are too many people on earth, the argument that sexuality shouldn't be repressed. Basically it's a "bad" topic. The church is also not entirely exempt from responsibilities.

How can you expect to find the "right" person to hold and to share in good and the bad, after spending possibly decades searching, without of course doing anything.

Interesting topic.
