Internet Censorship to be extended in the UK
The British Government is proposing a 'Digital Economy Bill' which contains a clause which would force Internet Service Providers to block sites hosting content which would not be passed for sale by the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification, which used to be more honestly called the British Board of Film Censors).
This would cover 'non-conventional' sex acts such as those involving spanking and urination, despite the fact that it is perfectly legal for adults to engage in such acts in the UK. It would give Britain the highest level of censorship of the internet in the western world.
Clearly Prime Minister May wishes to extend her self appointed role as the nation's moral guardian. But doubtless this law will be impossible to enforce from the start. With Brexit and economic challenges to face, one might think the Government would have other priorities than trying to police spanking videos.
