Hey Steemers, Steemians, Steemites, or whatever term you prefer.

Here are 10 tips on how to increase traffic, likes, comments and shares on your YouTube video.

You can actually use these tips for any video hosting platform :)

1. Optimize It: You should always be optimizing your videos titles and descriptions because that's one of the main ways you'll show up in the rankings. Want to get found for a certain keyword? Add it to your title and description :) Be sure to mix it in the sentence, don't just do "Keyword Keyword Keyword Keyword" because that will look bad.

2. Add Links: By adding some links to your video and description you can increase the amount of likes, shares, and click throughs to your website if you have one.

3. Friends and Family: A way that a lot of newer online marketers use is to share videos with your family and friends. You can ask them to view, comment and like your video to get the ball rolling.

4. Get On Social Media: Build pages for your business on Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and Instagram. Be active on your profiles in order to increase click throughs to your YouTube video. You will have to build your profiles over time, but it's worth it. Social media can make a YouTube channel blow up in a good way if used right :)

5. Use Your Website: You should always be adding your videos to your website. If you don't have a website, start setting one up. Even if it's a simple little website where you post your videos, get started on that. You can pull in traffic from the search engines through your website and possibly send them to your channel. They can also watch the videos right from your pages, which is nice.

6. Emails and Newsletters: This is more of a later technique because you won't have a quality list of opt in emails to send your information to. If you don't have a opt in list feature set up you should check out websites like mailchimp or aweber which help you with all that. After you get a few emails you can then send out newsletters and be sure to add your YouTube channel URL to each email.

7. Indexed: You can get your youtube channel and individual videos indexed fairly easily since Google owns Youtube. After you're indexed you could be pulling traffic from the search engines and obtaining likes, shares and comments.

8. Advertising Brochures: A lot of companies will have printed material they hand out at conferences or to people on the street. If you go this route, be sure to have your YouTube channel URL on there for people to check out.

9. PPC Platforms: I always tell people to at least try out Adwords, Bing/Yahoo advertising and facebook advertising to see if they can get a good amount of traffic to their channel for a low cost. If you're paying pennies per view, that's a pretty good deal.

10 Outsource It: If you have the money, you can outsource the work to a credible SEO company to do the work for you. Usually you can hire the company to just do SEO and they will also optimize your YouTube channel since it's a great platform to help increase your rankings.

Well, those are a few tricks that are pretty simple and everyone can implement in a day or so.

I hope you enjoyed it :)
