Just trying to look long-term is all. When I do have enough stake for it to be considered an issue. I think it’ll ultimately be a non-issue, as there seems to be plenty of community support for me. I just had to ask where to get help with things like this and those who felt it was wrong came to help. Even if I didn’t get a full recovery of what was taken, I still think it’s fair to have lost something out of the flags. Albeit childish, imo, he has his right to his stake just like any other. I just want it to be a community decision, as opposed to a single person deciding that my value is undeserved. I hardly think my posts have been “overvalued” at 20-30 cents range. When I received help the first time... berniesanders basically set me up with I’d say around ten bucks worth of votes... so as far as that debate goes... I cannot stay unbiased, as he was willing to assist a complete stranger (me) off the rip, for someone doing things that sure, he’s done, but to a much worse extent. I can see the controversy behind him, but I like it tbh. It keeps shit interesting. I’m in no way condoning the behavior... but I think it does tend to shake things up and get people more motivated to vote and seek out those who need help. In a way, it’s fucking community building to have to come together to fight a force like that. Although, when that force is helping me out... it leads me to question all of their intentions. It’s evident they aren’t completely greedy... I mean, don’t we all want to earn as much as we can? The means by which it’s done is up to morals and ethics within each one of us, but isn’t what’s more important what is done with the stake? Sure, I’ve seen the self-voting a ton, but I’ve also seen a lot of giving. I’ve seen it first hand now. At a time when $10 is actually a shit ton of steem for the current market price.

The point is... I am just curious as to whether it is acceptable that within reasonable confines of perceived value, that I restore some value based on my stake.
Assume I have enough stake to give myself $1 and I have a post that earned $.08. Someone flags that post for 60 cents, I then counter it 60 cents, not adding value, just restoring. Would that be acceptable?

I may associate with people from all ends of the spectrum, but judge me not by them, only by my personal behavior and words. I am a curious person and I wish to have interactions with as many people as possible, to better grow as a person. This knowledge comes in all forms and different people can teach you different things. Not all of it will be positive, but we adapt. :)

well if you want to project forward to when you do have stronger stake .. the answer is... it's your stake and if you want to self-vote that is up to you. However you also need to remember that everyone else can use their stake as they wish too. Which means if someone wants to object to self-voting they can downvote you for it. There are no set rules on that
