We used to get bombarded with films about superheroes — ordinary people with not so ordinary abilities. When I was young, I’ve always wanted to be the chosen one. For a long time, I was bitterly disappointed that I had no superpowers, and nobody trained me to fight crime at night.

But now — and after an extensive examination of numerous superhero films — I have understood something very important, no superhero starts with the fight against evil. They all consciously decide at some point in their lives to use the talents given to them in exactly that way.

No less shall we do

Our superpowers may not be so obvious, but we’ve also been given certain talents and abilities. We may have a lot of empathy, innovative ideas, or we have a lot of skills in dealing with dogs.

Like all superheroes, we can ignore these talents and keep them hidden. Or we make the decision that we want to use them actively to achieve a specific goal or to make a particular vision come true.

As someone good with dogs, your mission might be helping other people with their pets. As someone with many creative visions, your purpose could be to develop new technologies that solve some of the world’s problems.

Superheroes have been cool and popular for 70 years. Superman, Wonderwoman, Spiderman.

But the real superheroes are the many problem solvers in the world.

I want to invite you through this post to join the troupe

Become a superhero, use your talents and abilities. For yourself, for your family, for your friends. Your neighbourhood and your city need you.

We need more superheroes to make the world a little bit better.

The Questions

Do we have to be particularly fast or strong to fight crime? Couldn’t we have given our intellect, talents, our commitment and many other skills to devote ourselves to this task a long time ago?

What genuinely sets us apart from superheroes?

Isn’t it merely the fact that our heroes have decided to start something with their talents while we wait for the universe to give us “more”?

I wish you exciting insights in pursuing those questions.
