There is a layer of greenhouse gases around the earth. These gases include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide. This layer is absorbing more energy and raising the temperature of the earth. This is commonly called global warming or climate change.
These changes are studied by dividing the Earth's history over long periods. This change in climatic conditions can also be natural and the result of human activities. Greenhouses and heating are considered to be the result of human actions which after the industrial revolution increased the amount of gases excreted from the industries by humans in the atmosphere.

Greta Thunberg speech at UN climate change conference

Swedish activist Greta Thunberg says We no longer have time to leave out the science, as she gave a speech at the UN global climate conference in Madrid accusing world leaders of clever accounting and creative PR to avoid action on the climate crisis.

Damage due to rise in temperature

Due to the increase in the temperature of the earth, the ice melting speed of glaciers and polar regions has increased, as a result of which the water level of the oceans has risen by an average of 27 centimeters. According to climatologists, if the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere continue to accumulate, the temperature of the earth will continue to rise, which will result in increasing the risk of melting of the glaciers and polar regions, and the risk of submergence of the ocean coast.
Ocean ecosystems have also been affected by increasing amounts of carbon dioxide. Today, the amount of acidity in ocean water is increasing, due to which the organisms living in the oceans are being adversely affected.
In the 21st century, the temperature will increase from 3.5 to 10 degrees Celsius. In the twentieth century, the average surface temperature of the world increased by 0.6 ° C. Globally, 1998 was the warmest year and the 1990s was the warmest decade yet, proving that the climate change has begun as a result of the greenhouse effect.

Harm caused by humans

Trees are being harvested continuously by humans, the result of which will be very bad in the coming time. Tree plant is very important to keep the air pure. Apart from this, tree plants are very useful and to prevent climate change, we should not plant trees, so that we do not harm our environment.

A natural process whereby some gases present in the atmosphere of a planet or satellite help to make the temperature of the atmosphere relatively high. Green house gases are responsible for changes in the planet's atmosphere or climate and eventually global warming. The most emitted are carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, chloro-fluoro carbon, vapor, ozone etc.

  1. Carbon dioxide
  2. nitrous oxide
  3. Methane
  4. Loro-fluoro carbon,
  5. Vapor
  6. Ozone

1) Carbon dioxide: -

It is a colorless gas which is produced by burning of carbon with oxygen (CO2). The ratio of carbon dioxide to the composition of the atmosphere is only 0.033 percent, while nitrogen is found to be around 78 percent and oxygen is about 21 percent.

2) Nitrous Oxide: -

Nitrous oxide, known as 'liqueur gas', is a colorless flammable gas. It has a seductive smell and mild sweet taste. It is used in anesthesia and analgesics in surgery and dentistry.

3) Methane: -

Methane is found in the form of natural gas with petroleum substances under the surface of the earth. Hence it is also called Marsh Gas. Methane is collected in coal mines, which can cause explosions and fires. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is mainly methane.

4) Loro-fluoro carbon: -

It is an organic compound made up of only carbon, chlorine, hydrogen and fluorine atoms.

5) Vapor: -

Water temperature is a critical temperature of 647 K 374 ° C, 705 ° F), the highest temperature where liquid water can be present. In the atmosphere at normal temperatures, therefore, gaseous water (known as water vapor. Will dissolve in the liquid if its partial pressure is sufficiently increased.

6) Ozone: -

The ozone layer in the stratosphere acts as a protective shield and protects the Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Ozone acts as a harmful pollutant in the stratosphere. When its quantity in the troposphere (inner surface) is too high, it damages human lungs and tissues and also causes side effects on plants.
