Encryption for all communications that interact with the vehicle to secure it from outside commands would be my starting point.
Your key to operate could be your steemit private key or some other token.
Would also allow for ledger to be implemented to record all interactions commands, updates etc, locally.
Secure your remote commands, it goes on and on.
