I am an Indonesian. Controversies also happen many times in Indonesia but so far there's no movie got fully banned from being released. Usually it will end up being censored on some actions that considered as against the eastern value or let say in a way close to "pornography" but that's it. But India I think you guys have a way more advance movie Industries and some people maybe not ready with "openness and reality or controversies being adopted to a movie". By the way, Indian movies and dramas are extremely famous in Indonesia lol :D
Matter is not that what you think, matter is of cast/ religion sentiments which always remained an basic issue here in India, this is no doubt a big democratic country but we have a problem of caste-ism and are more attentive about religious aspects, which i admit is wrong, this is a fantastic movie every one should watch.
