Right on! Great tips! We were following the "lay of the land" for our driveway when building our home, but our driveway forces the approacher to drive a long round-about way up the hill while all the time being viewable from our home. It's great for seeing who is coming around, and I'm sure would make anyone second guess just "driving up". Our home is on a hill and well above the road, too.
