Those films draw the attention to one of the most terrible periods in our history (my nation has seen Genocide first hand... so probably not the most terrible for us...). I am still amazed at the life stories of heroism and the un-human cruelty. What I am more amazed these days is that in the modern world there are events like latest Nazi protest in the US...

It's pretty sad, right? My grandfather, Lowell Cornelison, died in France fighting nazis. He survived D-Day, was shot in the arm in the forest inland, and the ambulance he was in was struck by artillery. Everyone inside died instantly.

It is almost as if everyone in WWII died for nothing because it seems to me that fascism didn't lose. They just relocated to Argentina, America, etc. Why is it acceptable by so many here? I'll never understand it.
