Scuba Diving in Cyprus – MUSAN & Greco Caves
Greetings from Cyprus everyone!
Recently, I finally went on a little dive trip again and discovered two really exciting spots: the MUSAN Underwater Museum and the Greco Caves. Two completely different experiences, but both impressive in their own way.
MUSAN – Art you can dive into
The first spot was MUSAN (Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa). It's basically an underwater museum with loads of sculptures standing on the seafloor – like a gallery, just... underwater.
The best part: you don’t need a diving license. A snorkel and mask are enough. From the beach, it’s just a short swim and you’re there, drifting around the sculptures at your own pace.
There’s something super calm – almost meditative – about gliding through those sculptures. And let’s be honest: it also looks pretty awesome in photos.
Greco Caves – For those with a bit of experience
The second spot was the Greco Caves – a bit more challenging, but also way more spectacular. You dive into small caves, swim through rock formations and narrow passages, with some really cool light effects underwater.
If you’ve got a bit of diving experience under your belt, this one’s a real hidden gem.
And then came one of the absolute highlights: in a seagrass area, we spotted several seahorses. So cool to see them out in the wild like that!
I went diving with Pineapple Divers.
Both dives were with Pineapple Divers, a small dive school based in the south of the island. It was founded by Alex – a friend and neighbor of mine who started his own business last year.
He knows the local spots inside and out, is super reliable, and works with all levels – whether you’re new to diving or already experienced.
So if you’re ever in southern Cyprus and want to go diving: definitely get in touch with Alex!
And here’s a little bonus for you:
If you mention you’re coming through me (just give him the code "JONAS10"), you’ll get 10% off your dive trips!

Cyprus really has a lot to offer – and there’s a whole different world waiting for you under the surface. I can totally recommend both: MUSAN if you want something relaxed and visual, and the Greco Caves if you're up for some adventure.
Best vibes from the island –
