RE: The personal significance of the Terminator films to me.
Cool insights. Certainly I've been hurt, but then rather than go on a crusade to force the world to change in order to fit me (as you don't make many friends or influence people by declaring war on every mentally healthy person and the very concept of mental health) I've worked on changing myself to better fit into the world. Darwin said something neat about how it isn't the strongest, fastest or brightest that survives in the long run, but the most adaptable.
The main thing I don't wanna do is come at "neurotypical" people in an adversarial way. I don't want to be some new burden they have to take on, with all sorts of shit they feel guilted into learning about a condition that isn't relevant to them for most of their lives. That's been the tactless, combative approach of SJWs that has done irreparable damage to their public image and claim to moral authority.
If anybody cares enough about me that they want to learn stuff that will help them be a better friend, I'm flattered. That's an olive branch, sometimes they are difficult to recognize. I then endeavor to meet them halfway, where a party occurs.
Wow, that is an incredibly mature outlook.
I think I'll follow you.
