Jacque Fresco-Free Will, Cause, Influence of Background

in #science7 years ago

Jacque Fresco challenges the assumption of free will and illustrates how this cherished notion has no basis. He asks the viewer to consider how “cause” is projected as independent agency and questions how we could ever act out of anything free of the influence of our background. He makes the case that belief in free will and individuality is a tool to maintain establishments & social conditions which would otherwise undergo significant modification.

The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable but as totally unacceptable. Anything less will result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in today's world.

We have a lot of new technologies on the way to mainstream, as example LENR is world wide replicated.

Every new technological progress has the potential to not only make an impact, more to revolutionize our world and change our world view. That is the reason why it is hold back and hidden from the mainstream, such a change creates fear to the rulers.

As a global society we have to get over it and be the change from inside our self's first. We have to speak out loud that we are the change, we have to live the change, and not wait for dinosaurs to make the change.

Many respected scientists believe that there is no such thing as free will and it is an illusion made up by society. Whether it is real, society (religious or non religious) as a whole must believe in free will even if it doesn’t exist. This is because our criminal justice system would break down if we can’t hold people responsible for their actions. Richard Dwakins has said there is no such thing as free will but "it is an inconsistency that we sort of have to live with otherwise life would be intolerable” and to quote the novelist Isaac Bashevis “We must believe in free will, we have no choice,”

I miss this guy. :( Although he was not so popular as he should be, he always left me wondering.

Our foundation is Love and our roots are Freedom, I believe we will make it! I really do, I've been following Venus Project a long time ago... Still believe!

Keep it up!

Jacque Fresco was and still is with his world view light years advanced from the currently dominating, i call it, Disconnected Worldview.

As we believe so we act, as we act so we become.

As Dr. Martin Luther King stated in 1967, “We as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values.” He was referencing the United States in particular, it is just as relevant today for the human family as a whole.

The Shift begins with you! We are on Steemit because we not only believe, we start to know and act like it, so we are on the way to what we become.

Thanks to all of you,
we are connected, we are not alone.

i believe every new innovation in the world now is built on the foundation of scientific researches made in the past. all we do now is rebranding

The world is really growing with awesome technologies and innovations. Thanks you for sharing this @thevenusproject.

I think Jacques Fresco is a very important writer. I know he's a graduate and has several professions. One of them, thankfully, is that of a writer. During my university course, I had seen the documentary about the Zeitgeist. Coincidentally, at the same time, he studied the Zeitgeist in psychoanalysis, which refers to the "spirit of the age", that is, the issues that can be refuted today were not, at the time, mainly due to cultural issues. For example, before it was stated that women were inferior to men at work outside the home. At that time it was not refuted, because the culture strongly placed the woman working inside the house and who left was poorly seen by the society, then, few possessed the capacity and the courage to refute !!
Turning to the author, it seems that his way of thinking about economics seems a bit like the way steemit works, because here the economy, even with whales, tends to be collaborative, and everyone who participates can receive some more, some less. But unfortunately the capitalist form here also works, because it is not only a great post that receives an excellent prize, people with more influence tend to receive greater votes.
Thank you very much for the post, it reminded me of my timing. Thank you!!

Do you choose to wake up every morning or does the body just get up? If you don’t make this basic choice then why would anyone think they make other decisions? Try to guess what your next 20 thoughts will be. See if you can. If you don’t think up your thoughts are you really in control of anything?

Good post sir you will not help me to develop a little bit I'm not experienced ..😒

great post @thevenusproject thank you for sharing ♡♡
