A short video to give a very brief description of a Resource Based Economy. We hope to release more short presentations like this to share with others who wouldn't sit through a longer one but may pique their interests to explore further.

The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable but as totally unacceptable. Anything less will result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in today's world.

Inspiring!

I love love love the Venus Project stuff! I just posted some stuff about it the other day. Check it out! Please post more about this stuff. The world needs it!

Oh god! Great to have you here, I follow you since the first video of Jaques Fresco, PAradise or Oblivion

I am relieve to hear the high standards they have set on poverty, hunger, war etc

This project is pie in the sky, wishful thinking. This is a world of scarcity. There is no way to get around this cruel reality.

Centralized planning fails. Time and time again throughout history, we see the results of a strong centralized government. And it ain't good.

Why give up on capitalism? Why kill the goose that is laying golden eggs?

it's not about central planning, it is about facilitating access to resources and knowledge.

it's not about giving up on capitalism, it is about growing out of it.

what golden eggs? we are destroying the ecosystems on the planet! money does nothing, people do everything!

One aspect that is missing - and that needs to be addressed - is the control and enforcement mechanism. The underlying assumption is that everyone cooperates and acts considerably.

That is not realistic, hence a mechanism must be designed to maintain and enforce laws in this future society.

an educated population can not be controlled

I been a fan of this ideology for 8 years or so.

keep it up
