THE ECOSYSTEM: MANY SPECIES ON THE VERGE OF EXTINCT
Human chronicles have recorded lots of loses of some species of aquatic, amphibian and terrestrial dwellers. Many more are on the same vein to disappear completely from the surface of the earth. The world is currently facing marine crises, pollution, shrinking forest and endangered wildlife. Scientific quest for discovery might eventually collapse God’s six days of creation. Recalling the previous natural disasters faced by some part of the world in the last three decade like hurricane, Katrina, acid rain, whirlwind, deforestation, rock and ice disintegration among many others, I then strongly believe that the original master plan of the planet earth has been thwarted. The wasteful lifestyles of the rich nations are mainly responsible for the exploitation and depletion of natural wealth. Human consumption has doubled over the last three decades and continues to accelerate by 1.5 per cent a year.
It is now historic the existence of white Rates, Dinosaur, fire Dragon, Caribbean Monk Seal, Tasmanian Tiger, Tecopa Pupfish, etc. Numbers of African elephants have fallen from around 1.2 million in 1980 to just over half a million while the population of tigers have fallen by 95 per cent during the past century. In the UK the songbird population has fallen dramatically, with the corn bunting declining by 92 per cent in the past 30 years. Based on factors such as a nation's consumption of grain, fish, wood and fresh water along with its emissions of carbon dioxide from industry and cars, might worsen the whole situation if precautionary actions are not taken. Time shall come when Zoology and Botany students of tertiary instructions will have neither plants nor animals to carry out their research.
The emanating dangers are tilting towards putting off man. What happens when the ozone layer completely cracked down? What happens if North Korea finally unleash their latest nuclear weapons? The predicted volcanic eruptions might violently pour-out layers capable of erasing several nations. The planet’s elasticity is gradually loosing grip and will soon fall off into the outer space.
The future of our children is impaired. Would there still be human activities on the planet-earth by 2050? The world might run out of food supply with the increasing population. Death rate is geometrically multiplying as a result of human wrongdoings. Let’s go back to the drawing board and curtail the looming dangers before science end the whole existence of man.
I don't think we'll run out of food anytime soon, but we're going to have to work hard if we don't want to destroy nature!
Nature is losing its balance. We all have to put hands together to restore this balance. Talking of running out of food, that may not be completely impossible, but we can definitely stop/prevent it. Nice update @navidivine. 👍
