I'm also left-handed, and that has never given me any problems in life. Took me a while to get the right term in French when I moved here, though.

Today, being a left handed person isn't as bad as it used to be, because as left-handedness becomes a "mainstream" thing, many people (most of the also left handed) invent devices and thing for left handed people, or adjust existing ones (like scissors) to left handed people.
I think this is a great time to be a left handed person in, and I'm always glad to find more people like me :-)
