Interesting post.

The topic of eugenics is controversial so its great that you put the idea out there in spite of that. Its nice to see that some people are willing to take risks in sharing their ideas.

I definitely think there are issues that would need to be addressed before something like this could be implemented. There is of course a lot of room for abuse in a system such as this. For instance, forced sterilization would be a concern. There are concerns over issues with freedom and liberty, and there is potential for abuse regarding things like racism and classism.

However, you raise a lot of good points regarding disease and disorder prevention and I think that population control would also benefit from eugenics, especially in the next 100 years or so.

Overall, I think that if there was good policy and procedure put into place that is fair and not corrupt, then this may actually be beneficial to our species as a whole. Its definitely something to consider.
