Dissecting the concept of a tsunami museum
The tsunami museum currently in Aceh Is the result of an Indonesian architect Ridwan Kamil, he won a government-funded competition. The tsunami museum is merely a reminder to us that such devastating calamities once devastated Aceh in 2004.
The tragedy of this tsunami became the most severe of this 21st century, more than 500,000 deaths and countless numbers of which have yet to be found, nearly 100% of Aceh's infra structure is destroyed and can not be reused following millions of families displaced and lost relatives . So dasyatnya this incident until many neighboring countries are encouraged to immediately help Aceh.
Which my friends see photo above are some of the tsunami corpses mixed with garbage.
I just want to try to tell a little about the disaster is not intent to frighten.
Considering the terrible incident then the local government felt the need to create a museum as a monument.
This is the fascion of the tsunami museum pride of the aceh people.
The concept of a tsunami museum
As for the concept of this tsunami museum is:
- Rumoh aceh
Aceh's stage house as applied with reference to the wisdom of the past architecture or traditional architecture that has been tested in the face of challenges and disasters. This concept refers to the state of Aceh in the past that has also been hit by disasters and also reflects the belief in religion and adaptation to nature, really an interesting neo vernacular concept.
- Escape Building
Implicitly building this museum characterizes rescue buildings when tsunami, given its hilly shape. As well as a rescue building when disaster strikes in the future.
- Sea waves
The building plan represents the ocean waves telling and reminders of the tsunami. - Saman dance (Habblumminannas)
Leather wall of a tsunami museum that represents saman dance, saman dance itself is a dance that demands compactness in every move.
- The Light of God (Hablumminallah)
In the interior of the museum there is a cylindrical room pursed upward and shines the light from the top down with the meaning of God's relationship with his servant. Along the cylinders there are the names of tsunami victims, very touching.
Before we get to the light of god room we will be directed through a confusion aisle, this sounded by the sound of water flowing through the walls of the guess and the right of the visitors, making us enter a different dimension to experience the tsunami experience.
There are carvings of the names of tsunami victims illuminated by the light of God
Photo when the worker was putting the names of tsunami victims on the wall of the struggle room. - Publick Park
This museum also serves as a public open park that can be accessed by anyone as a means in urban context.

In every room detail there are names and flags of friendly countries that help aceh when the incident
